Summary of some recent Showings, Awards, and Achievements (ask for more details)

Saint John's Episcopal Church, New City, New York, invited Steven as the guest artist for their annual Gala Art Auction May 1, 2010.

Steven participated in the fundraiser show for Haiti this winter 2010 at the Mistretta Gallery in Locust Valley NY and donated two paintings that were sold for the Doctors without Borders organization.  He showed in the Blue Door Gallery in Riverhead, NY over the winter of 2009-2010.

Recent show awards include Honorable Mention at the Long Beach Fine Art Show at Kennedy Plaza, Long Beach, New York, and 4th place in show at the Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit, Fall 2009. He was also honored to participate in the very first Fringe Festival on Long Island , The First Experience Long Island event at the CW Post Tilles Center in the fall 2009.

Steven was invited to show his work, and participate at the 5th Annual Polo Invitational for Charity event at the Whitney Lane Field in Old Westbury, Long Island, New York on Saturday, July 25, 2009 in honor of the Adam Walsh Child Resource Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Steven won an award for Artistic Award of Excellent Achievement in the recent 2008 Millburn, New Jersey Art show, and 1st Place at the Long Beach, Long Island art show in 2008, 2007, 2002 as well as the Purchase Prizes in 2006,2002. "Old HarborTown" was purchased by the Town of Long Beach, NY for display in City Hall, and awarded Honorable Mention at the Long Beach 2009 show.

He received awards at the Mystic Art Show; Washington Square Outdoor Arts Festivals, 3rd place, Spring, 2009:4th place Fall 2007, 3rd place award Spring 2007, Whimsy Award Spring 2006, 2003, Landscape Award, 2005 and 4th Place in show, 2003. Rockaway Music and Art Festival awarded him 1st prize, 2008, and 2nd place in the 2006 Rockaway Music and Art Festival. He has been honored with many other awards in past years. Monmouth Arts Festival 2010, 2009, 2008,and 2007 included his works in their juried show. Artwork was recently accepted to the Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society 7th Annual Art Show, on Long Island, NY.

Steven won first place in the 2007 Bellport Bay Festival & Regatta Poster Contest. His piece is featured as their poster, and calendar cover, and the original painting was sold at the Phoenix Gallery in Bellport NY.

Steven won first place in the Art in Architecture 2005 juried art show on Long Island. His winning painting was featured on a PBS TV broadcast about Art on Long Island,and was shown at New York State Supreme Court, Mineola, NY. He also won a one-man show at Cedarmere, Roslyn, NY, September 24- October 31, 2005.

The very successful gallery opening at Galerie Klimantiris in Montreal in May 2005, featured a large collection of Stevens work. This gallery has featured Stevens work for many years and shows them continuously. Steven also shows in the Chrysalis Gallery, Southampton, NY; Owl 57, Woodmere, NY; Evalynn Dunne Gallery, Westfield, NJ; ;and the Ripe Art Gallery, Greenlawn, NY .

Past exhibitions have included the Landing Gallery on Long Island, Salon International Dart Naf in Paris, the Tokyo Kaikan Gallery in Tokyo, Town Hall in the Town of Oyster Bay, L'Art Gallery a` Mulhouse, Paris, France, a gallery show in St. Tropez, at Galerie Marc Vigneron and the StephenLoweArtGallery in Calgary, Alberta. His artwork appeared regularly at the former Country Art Gallery in Locust Valley,Gallery East in East Hampton, Peele Gallery, Vermont,

Steven was invited to make paint the tree lighting ceremony for presentation during the "Pageant of Peace" at the White House for President and Mrs. Reagan.

He participated in the White House egg painting for Easter at the Smithsonian, where it is part of their collection.

Countless collectors include the Prime Minister of Norway, Jackie Collins, Ira Ritter, Senator Charles Robb, Mr. & Mrs.Jean Luc Clement, Mr.& Mrs. Charles Dolan (Cablevision), J. Michael Gearon , Mr. & Mrs. Neiderhoffer.

Steven was commissioned by the New York Mets, New York Islanders and a Real Estate firm to create paintings on three life size statues of horses for the 2003 Horses of a Different Color project for a Nassau County, NY public arts project. They were displayed at the Nassau County Museum of Art, Belmont Raceway, Nassau County Court House and other locations throughout the county. They are now part of private collections. He painted on a fiberglass duck  for the M&T Bank for a charity event .

Steven was the March 2002 artist at the Friends of Locust Valley Art Show on the prestigious Gold Coast of Long Island. This followed a successful show there in March 2000. He was also featured in one-man art shows at the Ariel Gallery, Locust Valley, in March 2001, and September 2002. Steven was featured in the "Meet the Artist" event at the Fast Frame, Sayville, NY.

Morris Katz featured Steven on one of his cable TV art shows.

New Jersey Hadassah, honored Steven at the Newark Museum in March 2001 at a gala presentation of the giclee print they commissioned which was used for to raise money for Hadassah.

The Carl Schurz Park NYC committee featured Steven,s painting of the park for their fund raising campaign.

Steven participated in shows at the Sid Jacobson JCC in Roslyn, NY, Stamford,CT JCC, Oceanside NY, JCC , Nassau County Holocaust Museum. and Winthrop Hospital Show.

Steven's images are in the SunsOut, Bits and Pieces, Ceaco, Elms Puzzles, Stave Puzzles, Canadian Group, Lafayette Puzzle Company and Pressman Toys collections and more, in his work for Creatif, and Cypress Fine Arts Licensing,

His puzzles included a Mothers Day puzzle, and a puzzle of the United States. Countless works commissioned for publication include prints, lithographs, posters, catalog products, and stationery items for companies such as At A Glance, Orvis, Revolution Technologies, the LaVie Americana collection, Merry Chocolates, Glitterwrap, and Paper Preserves.

The Franklin Mint selected his work for a widely publicized and distributed Americana series of six collector plates. Collector calendars, such as the Sumitomo Seimei 2000 calendar,the CDC Japanese calendars, Argus, Classic Color   and Golden Turtle. Greeting card companies include Marcel Schurman, ArtScroll, Art in Motion, and Evergreen Press.

Steven wrote and illustrated a children's book that was published by Gakken Press in Japan and Korea and produced  CD covers for Premiere Recordings.

Collections have appeared at Bloomingdales, Fortunoff's, Macy's and countless other stores, galleries, and on various other products. He is also one of the foremost designers for RiteLite, and has worked for ArtScroll.
